Fees

Nobody should have to guess what a visit will cost. If your query is not listed below, ring us and we will tell you the fee before you book.

Who is seen free of charge

Medical Card & GP Visit Card holders

If you hold a current Medical Card or GP Visit Card registered to this practice, GP consultations are free of charge. Some items — such as driving medicals, insurance reports and travel vaccines — are outside the GMS scheme and are charged privately to everyone.

Not sure if you qualify?

Eligibility for a Medical Card or GP Visit Card depends on your income and circumstances, and children under 8 and adults over 70 qualify for a GP Visit Card regardless of means. Apply through the HSE, and tell us when your card comes through.

Paying for your visit

  • Payment is due at the time of your appointment
  • We accept card and cash
  • Receipts are issued for every payment
  • Keep your receipts — GP fees qualify for tax relief at 20% via Revenue's Med 1 / MyAccount

Please note

  • Fees are reviewed from time to time; the price quoted when you book is the price you pay
  • Where a fee above is shown as a range or "From", the final price depends on what the physical examination finds — for example, how many lesions need removing, how large a wound is, or how long an extended consultation actually runs. We will always confirm the exact fee with you before we proceed if it differs from the standard rate
  • Vaccines and some consumables are charged in addition to the consultation
  • Reports for insurers and solicitors are quoted individually before we start
  • Missed appointments may be charged — see our cancellation policy

Worried about the cost?

Please talk to us. We would much rather arrange something with you than have you put off getting seen. Ring the surgery on 089 483 7929 and ask to speak to us in confidence.
